Chi-Bin Jeon,27, a former member of the idol group Mask, explained why he left the team.
Jeon Chi-bin,who appeared on KBS Joy's entertainment program 'Ask Me Anything' that aired on the 3rd, talked about the conflict that occurred during his past idol activities and the current situation.
"I played idol until 2022, but now I lost about 180 million won while I was involved in cryptocurrency and equity investment," Jeon said. "I'm thinking about the future direction of my life," he said.
On the occasion of his departure from the team, he explained, "My roommate took another member's umbrella because he said, 'Take out an umbrella.'" When the member asked, "Did you take my umbrella?", he said, "I took it down, and I'll give it to you."
He added, "The member came down and said, 'When my brother calls, I'll come right away.' I felt sorry for him, but I laughed and headed to the practice room, and his brother said, 'Don't laugh, Jeon Chi-bin. I don't want to look at you,'" he recalled. Later, he said, "Later, when I complained about my injustice, I hit the wall with the umbrella my brother was holding and hit my head and face with the iron skewer part. I decided to leave the team after that incident.”
Jeon said he spent about a year or two disconnected from the outside world after leaving. He then jumped into the investment, but lost about 180 million won due to the failure. He said that he is currently making money from YouTube live streaming.
Meanwhile, MC Seo Jang-hoon advised, "If you are 27 and only in debt, it is better to reduce the airtime, work part-time, and improve your lifestyle," and Lee Soo-geun said, "If you want to be on stage, you should be ready. Self-development comes first."
Jeon joined the group Mask in 2017 and left the team in 2018, and in 2022, he appeared in the Channel A audition program 'Youth Star'.
