The

National Data Center has announced plans to implement the Gross Economic Survey based on 2025. The survey reflected new items to identify changes in the industrial structure such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and smart factories.

The

investigating agency stated that it will expand the use of administrative data to reduce the response burden of businesses and minimize site visits. Non-face-to-face online surveys are planned to start on June 1 and interviews with investigators will start on June 12.

The results of the Gross Economic Survey are used as basic data to identify changes in business structure, employment, and sales by industry. The expansion of digital transformation-related items will be the basis for examining how much AI and automation have spread to real industrial sites.
