In an official statement released on the 17th, the Reward and Punishment Adjustment Management Committee under the Korean Music Association said that Park Na-rae's actions are a serious problem that undermines the sound order and development of the popular culture and arts industry.
The Rewards and Punishments Adjustment Management Committee is a permanent special organization established in 2009 and is in charge of mediation and arbitration to resolve disputes within the entertainment industry.
The committee said, "This can be seen as an illegal avoidance of responsibility on Park Na-rae's part" regarding the issue of managers not being covered by the four major insurance policies, and is conducting a thorough investigation and punishment on this issue. He urged.
In addition, regarding claims of personal errands, verbal abuse, and assault, he said, "It is a chronic problem that must be eradicated in the entertainment industry," and stated that if such acts are found to be true, strong measures will be taken at the association level.
The committee said, "If true, it will be a very serious matter" regarding the allegations of non-payment of processing fees and embezzlement by providing company funds to an ex-boyfriend. He said, "We plan to find out the truth and take strong action in the same context as non-payment of wages.
The committee emphasized, "Celebrities whose activities and profits are derived from the public's attention must take great responsibility as public figures," and added that they should refrain from continuing their entertainment activities without sufficient self-reflection.
