A woman falsely accused her father of rape over financial disputes, leading to her imprisonment.
The Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court sentenced a woman, referred to as A, to 10 months in jail for defamation, business obstruction, and insult.

A was tried for posting defamatory content online 11 times in May and June last year, targeting her father B.
Her posts falsely accused B of assaulting her since age four, claimed her mother also faced violence, mentioned a 30 million won settlement, and demanded harsh punishment.
A revealed B's identity and business details, which reportedly affected his business operations.
She also posted about B marrying C, allegedly after an affair.
In February 2021, A sued B for damages in Incheon District Court but failed to prove her claims.
During the criminal trial, A asserted her posts were true, but the court rejected this, citing a lack of evidence.
The court found A's accusations false, noting she received financial support from B and accused him after he denied her request for café funds.
The court stated that A's false posts stemmed from financial dissatisfaction, irreparably damaging the victims' reputations.
The court cited a high reoffending risk, given A's continued similar postings, and emphasized the victims' strong desire for severe punishment in determining the sentence.
