'Trigger' is about an illegal gun being delivered and an incident taking place. Set in Korea, where frequent incidents occur, it tells the story of two men with guns for different reasons. Gun action that creates tension unfolds in a chaotic world.
Kim Nam-gil plays Lee Do, a police officer who returns to protect justice, and Kim Young-kwang plays Moon Baek, a mysterious assistant who helps Lee Do. Park Hoon, Gil Hae-yeon, and Kim Won-hae also appear to add realism. Director Kwon Oh-seung, who attracted attention with 'Midnight', directed and wrote the script.
In the teaser poster, Kim Nam-gil and Kim Young-kwang face a box containing an unknown gun and announce the beginning of chaos with the phrase, 'Guns have been delivered to the Republic of Korea, a gun-free country.' The two men's different facial expressions stimulate curiosity about their choices.
The teaser trailer begins with a gunshot ringing out along with the words, "Everyone has a trigger in their heart." Illegal guns spread by courier, and people with guns deepen the crisis. Ido tries to uncover the truth of the incident. Munbaek's question, “What will happen if guns spread in Korea?” heightens the tension.
Director Kwon Oh-seung described 'Trigger' as "an imagination that became reality" and explained that it focused on guns from a different perspective than traditional Korean works.
'Trigger' is scheduled to be released on Netflix on July 25.
