On October 8, at an interview for Netflix's series 'Squid Game 2' conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Park Sung-hoon expressed his regret by stating, "I apologize for the inconvenience my significant error has caused."
Park Sung-hoon admitted, "Participating in this interview is challenging, as I am concerned that my error might have impacted others involved in the production. I welcome any criticism directed at me, but I hope our work is still received positively," he conveyed, becoming emotional.
He elaborated on the circumstances surrounding the accidental posting of the mature content photo of 'Squid Game 2' on social media, stating, "This occurred at a time when there was active viewer engagement following the release of 'Squid Game 2.' I found the inappropriate image in a direct message just before leaving. My intention was to report it to the relevant authorities, but it was mistakenly uploaded in the process. The mistake felt inexplicable at the time. I deleted it immediately and did not view the video. Some have speculated that I may have intended to share it on another account, but I only possess one account," he clarified. "I offer my apologies once more for an error that could lead to further controversy during these challenging times."
On September 30, Park Sung-hoon initially posted and subsequently removed an AV poster with a 'Squid Game' theme from his social media account. BH Entertainment explained that "the post was made in error while reviewing a direct message." As the issue persisted, BH Entertainment provided additional clarification, stating, "Park Sung-hoon received the AV cover via direct message and identified it as problematic. His intention was to forward it to the company representative. During this procedure, he downloaded the image and unintentionally uploaded it instead of deleting it after sharing it with the representative."
